New Pokémon Snap is a photography-based game developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch console. Released on April 30, 2021, it is a sequel to the original 1999 Nintendo 64 game, Pokémon Snap. In this game, players assume the role of a Pokémon photographer exploring the Lental region, aiming to capture photographs of Pokémon in their natural habitats to build a comprehensive Photodex.

•Exploration of the Lental Region: Players travel across various islands, each featuring unique environments such as dense jungles, vast deserts, and tropical beaches. These diverse settings are home to numerous Pokémon species exhibiting authentic behaviors. 
•Photographing Pokémon: Utilizing the NEO-ONE vehicle, players can traverse these environments to observe and photograph Pokémon in their daily activities. Capturing Pokémon patrolling their territories, playing, or hiding offers insights into their behaviors and expressions. 
•Research and the Illumina Phenomenon: Collaborating with Professor Mirror, players investigate the Illumina phenomenon, a mysterious occurrence causing some Pokémon and vegetation in the Lental region to glow. Documenting this phenomenon is a central aspect of the game’s narrative. 
•Photo Evaluation and Editing: After each expedition, Professor Mirror evaluates the photographs based on factors like the Pokémon’s pose, size, and positioning. Players can also edit their photos by adjusting brightness, blur, zoom, and adding filters or stickers to enhance their Photodex entries.
