Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an action RPG developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. It was released for the Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022.
Set in the Hisui region, an ancient version of Sinnoh, the game follows the player’s journey to create the first Pokedex while uncovering the mysteries of the Legendary Pokemon Arceus. The game features an open-world structure with large biomes where Pokemon roam freely. Players can catch Pokemon in real-time by sneaking up and throwing Poke Balls or engaging in traditional turn-based battles.
New gameplay mechanics include crafting items, riding special Pokemon for traversal, and facing powerful Noble Pokemon in boss battles. The game introduces regional Hisuian forms of certain Pokemon and a revamped battle system with Strong and Agile Style moves.
